Hey there! My name is Zino and welcome to my blog! This is my main account, where I mostly reblog silly stuff, things I like and make personal posts. (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧ I sometimes reblog a lot of things really fast so I really hope you don't mind me clogging your dash!
Drop what you’re doing and listen to “Heavy Day“ right the fuck now It’s not a request
Guilty Hear has enriched my liiiiife 🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿 apart from my main dog in the Tekken series and slowly dipping my hands into KOF after only having Maximum Impact 2 as a childhood game (I don’t care what anyone says, all Normal and Another costumes are Based), Guilty Gear’s been amazing!
Seeing as this is my #1 2021 Top Post™️, I might as well GENTLY REQUEST that you listen to all of the Guilty GEAR -STRIVE- OST, friends:
So fun fact that won’t surprise anyone who knows me: I’ve done this. My job had a inclusivity survey that pissed me off (they included “transgender” and “cis gender” as possible responses for “what’s your gender?”, alongside “male” and “female”!) but I noticed they didn’t put a length limit on the gender field if you selected “other”. So…
They didn’t accept binary files (which is fine, my gender isn’t binary) so I had to base64 encode doom, but even though it froze chrome for nearly 8 hours, I was able to paste a full copy of the Doom install disks into the form.
as a side project while waiting on chrome to unfreeze, I developed a way to encode Doom into PNG files that could safely be posted on Twitter without them being corrupted into JPEGs, as Twitter loves to do.
Anyway, the thread is here, but really all you need is this one screenshot.
Tekken Bloodline is one year old today and I wish they would release a physical copy please harada i need so here’s a couple of pieces I drew that were inspired by Bloodline (the Jin and Hwoarang most directly, while the trio was just more fueled by how much I loved their dynamic).
The Jin and Hwoarang are going to be acrylic standees, BTW! And prints of the trio will be available when I get my ko-fi shop running later this year!
(psst reblog and spread this so it can get to who needs it )
update :hi besties both xkit rewritten and stylus are available for chrome too!
FYI for readers who requested it! This is what I’m currently using to unfuck my dash.
It seems as though most fixes for the new dash involve a combination of XKit Rewritten and the installation of one of a few varieties of script. The XKit fixes linked in this post helped a lot, but I was struggling with the idea of installing a script, because notoriously that kind of shit either doesn’t work for me or is significantly beyond my skill level.
Fortunately the page at the “this script” link has a button you can just click-to-install once you’ve installed Stylus, so it went pretty easily once I stopped panicking about having to run a script I didn’t understand. Anyway, it’s working for me for now, so passing it along for those who want to implement it.
as 90% of desktop users have probably found out, today @staff released an update that for some insane reason COMPLETELY remodels the dashboard to replicate twitter’s. this is of course in the wake of numerous other thoroughly hated changes and a continued refusal to fix any of the site’s actual problems, half of which stem directly from site management.
HOWEVER, thanks to the power of jQuery, i was able to throw together a userscript that remodels the dashboard back to its original look almost perfectly.
here is my dashboard right now, with the script active:
and here is the old dashboard in separate tab container that hasn’t received the update:
it’s hardly perfect; i had trouble making it force reload to the fixed layout when switching between other pages and the dashboard, and it currently only fixes just the dashboard. it’s also completely untested on browsers other than firefox, and chances are it looks a bit screwy on ultrawide monitors. but for now at least, it’s a good fix.
the unfucker is a tampermonkey userscript. all you have to do to use it is install the tampermonkey extension, hit “create new script”, and replace the default code on the page with the script (link here) and save it.
…Anyway, I created a Userscript for the Chrome/Firefox Stylus Extension that reverts the new dashboard to the old format. This took a lot of tweaking and it’s not perfect at all, but if anyone wants it I’ll be uploading it soonish now!
Style will open a tag with it and in the left side you’ll have a button that says “install style”, click there. (Step-by-step copied from the lovely dorothyoz39 who wrote this in a reply!)
If you don’t want the sticky header you can remove the labelled script at the top of the css below /* Sticky Header*/
Be sure to check for updates, I’m fixing things as I go! To update click the Manage button on Stylus and click the check for update button below! If you experience any bugs let me know - feel free to edit it yourself as well!P.S. Works just fine alongside Xkit!
Check under the cut for the changelog and known issues!
STOP GIVING THEM MONEY! stop trying to make crab day or whatever else happen. paying for stuff from the shop is rewarding them for ignoring the userbase continuously and doing things the majority don’t want, even if the things they’re doing and allowing can cause actual deaths. staff shouldn’t be praised and get profit for ignoring their users in exchange for trying to turn tumblr into twitter 2 ft. tiktok. at this point i don’t even care for “staff are people 🥺 be nice” arguments, because even when people are being very polite in feedback, they’re perfectly fine ignoring it in exchange for implementing changes nobody wants or asked for, all because new users may like it more (and forget anyone who’s used the site for years, apparently).
leave bad reviews. don’t buy things from the shop. send feedback, even if they never reply. email them and @ the staff, send asks to the wip blog. don’t just blindly buy into “we need to support the site, buy xyz shop product”, they don’t deserve more money for giving a worse product.
